Unfortunately in the spring of 2014 as Kings was about to open their Burlington location, a fire devastated the facility. Maugel DeStefano was called upon to quickly design a new building on the same site in Northwest Park. In order to open before the holiday season, our team provided a new design concept and construction drawings in a matter of weeks. Kings was excited about the new “start from scratch” design which integrated Kings branding while maintaining flexibility for second-generation uses—an important consideration for the property owner, Nordblom Company.
